Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Running is not improving I can only run about 15 minutes before the pain starts. Its also been about six weeks since I last swam because the gym membership expired and with the knee pain I didnt want to spend $500 to find out swimming hurts too. I sucked it up and signed up this week only to find that when I quit 6 weeks ago I was swimming 3,200 non-stop now I can only swim sets of 500 for a total of about 1,200. I know this will come back and completely expected the loss of fitness but it is discouraging.

Im beginning to think I should give up on the just PT aspect of recovery and ask for cortisone. Now over a month this is taking too long.

I also have now switched to Dunkin Donuts coffee (JUST COFFEE NO DONUTS) because Starbucks saw fit to start printing political messages on my coffee cup. Ahhh DD, coffee without the propoganda.Sean Mayhew

Got to this blog by total accident. But laughed at the Dunkin Donuts comment. As a native New Englander involuntarily transported to Texas...I am SOOOO jealous. I love Dunkin Donuts!!!

The knee pain also intrigued me. I am having knee issues as well. Mine is ITB and not going well. I just had a PT guy tell me that as long as I run distance I will have knee pain. I don't like that diagnosis. So I am currently searching elsewhere...

Anyway, thought I'd share....

Genuinely sorry to hear about the knee I know where you're at with dealing with PT's and docs who basically just say sit around and do nothing and it will get better. They do have a lot of stretches etc for ITBS that helped alleviate some of the tightness in mine I'm sure they have you doing the same.

And it turns out the DD coffee is pretty good. Damn hot though. =)
