Doc says meniscus tear and/or tendonitis

I couldn't wait for the 12th to get into a doc. Not getting into a doc until the 12 meant not getting to a physical therapist until the end of the month. So I did the next best thing and went to an urgent care. Urgent?! Four hours later the doc says probably a meniscus tear and/or cartilage damage. Not season ending but not what I wanted to hear. He gave me a prescription to a physical therapist and I made an appointment for Tuesday the 4th. Perfect. Much better than late in the month. He also gave me pain meds for a sore foot that showed up two days after the half-marry. Perhaps a stress fracture on the bottom outside of my right foot probably from overcompensating for the sore knee according to the doc.

Note: I went back into my logs and found the last hard workout I did BEFORE the run(11/27) that the pain started was a big chain ring Spinervals No Slackers DVD(11/26). My Training Bible workout for the bike was 45 minutes "Ride on rolling course. Big chain ring. Most of ride time in heart rate zone2-3. Seated on most hills." so I inserted the Spinervals DVD. The TB workout for the run was 1 hour "Heart rate in zones 1-2 on a gently rolling course. Check cadence: count left foot strikes 15 seconds. Goal is 21 plus."I also had two MS strength workouts that week.
